Brick and Stone Laid the Way the Old Trades Laid It

Full brick veneer, natural stone, dry-stack, and structural brick masonry for Cedar City and Iron County. Bond patterns and mortar tones chosen to fit the building.

The Challenge

Brick is unforgiving — the details show forever

A bad mortar joint, a missed expansion gap, or the wrong bond pattern doesn't hide once the scaffolding comes down. Brick and stone masonry is permanent in a way most trades aren't — if it's wrong, it's wrong for the life of the building. That's why this work belongs with crews who've laid thousands of square feet, not a framing crew trying their hand.
Our Approach

Bond pattern first, finish color second

We start every brick or stone job by selecting bond pattern, joint width, and mortar tone to match the architecture. Running, Flemish, stack, ashlar, random — each reads differently and lasts differently. From there it's through-wall flashing, weep holes, and proper expansion joints — the parts that keep the wall standing after fifty winters.
  • Bond pattern selected for architecture and stone shape
  • Mortar color tinted to match design intent or historic context
  • Through-wall flashing and weep holes behind every veneer
  • Expansion joints sized for wall length and exposure
  • Tooth-in matching for additions and historic repair

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Q.Do you install both brick and natural stone?

Yes — full brick veneer, thin brick, structural brick, plus cut stone, fieldstone, flagstone, and dry-stack natural stone. We pick the bond pattern and jointing to fit the architecture.

Q.Can you match existing brick on an addition?

We source matching brick and tinted mortar whenever possible, and tooth new courses into existing so the seam reads as original. Hundred-percent invisible matches are rare on old brick, but the result is usually unnoticeable from across the yard.

Q.How long does brick or stone masonry last?

Properly installed brick and stone lasts 100+ years. Mortar joints typically need re-pointing every 50–75 years; the units themselves outlast the structure.

Q.Do you handle structural brick or just veneer?

Both. Structural brick bearing walls, brick paving, full brick facades, and adhered/anchored veneer over framed or CMU substrate.
